You might try to find a copy of free scan and use it to program. ![]() ![]() It has some strange ways of accomplishing simple tasks but it will work on a Phase 1 TRS once you get it programmed. It doesn't work anything like the 436 HP or SDS models. I kind of forgot exactly what steps you might need to take but you do have to create it as a trunk system, you have to enter all of the frequencies and not just the control channel, and then once it is scanning you can add the different TGIDs just by stopping and adding them in whatever channel/slot you want. I know what you mean because they have the standard 12.5 kHz steps set where railroad frequencies don't use that.Īs for programming, my 796D is programmed with military aviation and I've overwritten all my old trunk programming. As far as the radio rounding up to another frequency, you have to go in the menu and set the step size for that exact channel so that it will take the frequency you're trying to program.
